Retail Store Design

Critical Concept Challenge: To Design Retail Space

In a World Full of Trends Remain Classic

Design Installations: This window display is following the Spring/Summer 2018 Sheer Madness trend. This design was made of out of vinyl and each panel was handmade. The pattern was cut on colored vinyl and then placed on clear sheets of vinyl. Wooden rods were added to the top and bottom of each panel making it look like a scroll. Each panel was then hung from the ceiling with monofilament.

Character Design

Critical Concepts: To design a home for a character named "Goddess" whom was very dramatic, outgoing and vibrant.

Seas Your Style

Design Installations: This window display was made out of cast paper, foam core, gator board and paint. The cast paper is originally used on a flat surface so to create the wave effect, we scored foam core and used hot glue to attach the foam core and cast paper together. Gator board was used as the backdrop and we used hot glue and pins to hold each set of waves to the wall. I built the stands for the merchandise out of foam core and then added the cast paper on top to match the design.

The Ten Commandments

Materials and Prop Making: Given the theme Egypt and had to recreate three scenes.
Movie: The Ten Commandments
Scene 1- Moses Presents Ten Commandments
Scene 2- Moses Turns Water into Blood
Scene 3- Parting of the Red Sea

Elevation view of media room

Ideation Sketching: I was able to go into the room and determine the size of the area and placement of all the furniture without using any measurement tools.

Furniture Designs

Ideation Sketching: Furniture Design
I found my inspiration through furniture from interior books and the textiles from fabric swatches from my school library.
